Mon Oct 14 Creepy Crawly Day at Hatch! We will be experimenting with creepy gelatin prints and making a Hatch classic: miniature spooky scenes.

Tues Oct 15 5 Senses Art Experiences. Enjoy making art you can experience with touch, smell, sound, sight, and EVEN taste!

Tues Oct 22 Selfie Paper Dolls with Costume Options. Take a selfie and then design a variety of costume options for Halloween or just everyday fashion. If you choose one of them and stay full day, you might get a jump start on some real costume accessory-making!

Please pack a snack and water bottle for half and full day campers, lunch if your child is full day.

Camp at Hatch is full of fun, creative art making with lots of opportunity for choice time as well as a more guided project. Weather permitting, we take advantage of nearby Mellon Park for snack and lunch, and incorporate lots of play into the day. We care deeply about your child and their experience, and offer expert art instruction, opportunities to build on your child’s individual interests, and an introduction to materials and processes they might not see at school! Please let us know if you have any questions about our school year camps!

This is the typical schedule:

9:00-9:30 Choice time. We offer a variety of art materials to explore, as well as lego, magnatile, dough and other manipulatives.

9:30-10:00 Snack at the park or at the studio depending on weather

10:15-11:50 Main project

12:00 Half day pick up, full day campers walk to lunch at Mellon or stay at the studio for lunch, group games, board games, and unstructured play time etc.

1:30-3:00 Project extension and/or choice time
